Artist Statement

 "My faith in God  allows my creativity to be limitless"

A few years ago, I learned that artwork can move and stimulate one.s soul, which explains why I have been so dedicated to incorporating my jovial and energetic spirit into all of my artwork.  The African art that I create is symbolic of the richness of my culture. This artwork depicts, through many different mediums,  the often neglected qualities  my people. The historical past of my people keeps me focused and eager to create new artwork. In my Abstract and African work, colors symbolize nature and bring out the light forms of everything imagined in this world. I travel the country, which is important because the world is my color-filled backdrop, my physical aid. I am constantly moving through ideas while traveling. These ideas explain why my abstracts are full of motion and the colors flow together. Objects are constantly jumping out of the scenery waiting to be developed into my next beautiful masterpiece. Musical instruments and colors are similar in feeling because of the emotional effect.  I listen to Jazz music while creating my pieces. Each piece of artwork that I create is an example of musical expression soon to be developed.
